Request for Proposals: ISO 14001 Auditing Services  3/2/2026

The City of Gastonia is seeking proposals for ISO 14001 auditing services for its Environmental Management System (EMS). The EMS covers operations under the control of the Wastewater Treatment Division, Water Supply and Treatment Division, and the Facility Maintenance Section of the Utilities Maintenance Division. The City is looking for a vendor to provide lead auditor services to ensure conformance to ISO 14001 through environmental audits, focusing on critical areas of operations. Key requirements include: * Proposals must be submitted electronically as a single PDF by 5:00 pm on April 1, 2026 * Proposals must be no longer than 10 pages and address all submittal requirements * Vendors must have experience in ISO 14001 auditing services, particularly in government agencies or water/wastewater utilities * Vendors must provide documentation of accreditation, lead auditor certification, and references * Proposals must include pricing information, including unit price, registration fees, and meal/travel expenses The City is seeking a 3-year contract with the option of two renewals of one year each. The contract will be awarded to the vendor that best demonstrates the capability to meet the City's needs, and negotiations may be undertaken with the selected vendor.
