Sources Sought Announcement for Husky Mounted Detection System (HMDS) 6B AN/VSS-6B sustainment Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract.

The Army Contracting Command (ACC) Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Belvoir Division, is seeking sources for the Husky Mounted Detection System (HMDS) 6B AN/VSS-6B sustainment Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The HMDS 6B is a Counter-Explosive Hazard (CEH) system that provides standoff detection and marking of metallic and low-metallic surface-laid, shallow-buried, anti-tank landmines, trigger mechanisms, and deep buried Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) through the use of Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) in support of area access route clearance operations. The contract will provide services including HMDS technical services, depot level maintenance, HMDS technical, logistics, repair services, management data, and repair parts necessary to satisfy requirements for sustainment and life-cycle management of the HMDS fleet. • The Government does not possess the Technical Data Package (TDP) for the parts. • The contract is expected to be a 5-year IDIQ contract. • The Government is seeking sources who can manufacture the listed parts or services. • The Government will use the information gathered from this announcement to determine if responsible sources exist and to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive and/or set aside for Small Business.
