The Air Force Research Laboratory is seeking proposals for the Compact Strategic Gyroscope - Maturation (CSG-M) program. The program aims to design, develop, build, test, and deliver a flight-qualified, strategic-grade, radiation-hardened Compact Strategic Gyroscope (CSG). The CSG will be used for integration into the SPARROW Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU). The contractor will be responsible for all program management, systems engineering, design, analysis, fabrication, assembly, and testing. Key deliverables include Gyroscope Assemblies for IMU Demonstration, Gyroscopes for Rad-Hard Prototyping Unit (RHPU), and Gyroscopes for Government Validation. The contractor must also provide a complete Technical Data Package (TDP) sufficient to enable future Government-led competitive procurement and sustainment.
• The CSG must meet the demanding performance, environmental, and interface requirements necessary for successful integration into the SPARROW IMU.
• The contractor must define the specific implementation of the mechanical and data interfaces in their proposal.
• The CSG must be designed to operate in the specified environments, including random vibration, shock, and electromagnetic interference.
• The contractor must provide a detailed test plan to verify compliance with the performance requirements.
• The CSG must be compatible with the aircraft power characteristics defined in MIL-STD-704F.
