Description
The Texas Department of Public Safety is soliciting competitive proposals from qualified contractors to perform restroom renovations in Building L, including demolition, architectural improvements, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, finishes, and abatement of identified asbestos-containing materials. The contractor will be responsible for providing a complete response addressing minimum qualifications, technical construction experience, and a detailed project execution plan. The project is expected to last for one year, and the contractor will be required to work with DPS to smoothly transition the contract if necessary.
• Minimum qualifications and experience: 5 years of general contracting experience, licensed and certified personnel, and experience with comparable projects.
• Technical construction experience: oversight and management of multiple subcontractors, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, demolition, and interior finishes.
• Project execution plan: phasing strategy, work sequencing, safety measures, and communication plan.
• Deliverables: detailed project plan, project schedule, and required coordination with facility operations.
• Pricing: the contractor must submit proposed pricing on the mandatory pricing schedule, including all costs, fees, licenses, and expenses.
