Purchase and Delivery of Sionics SAR-15 Rifles – NO SUBSTITUTE

The City and Borough of Juneau is seeking a vendor to provide ten (10) Sionics SAR-15 rifles for the Juneau Police Department. The rifles must meet or exceed National Firearms and Tactical Training Unit (NFTTU) Testing Protocols, FBI Test Protocols, DEA Test Protocols, or similar federal law enforcement agency firearms testing protocols. The vendor must be authorized to sell or manufacture per National Firearms Act (NFA) Class III items and have at least five years' experience with, and capability for, manufacturing and/or distributing 5.56 AR platform rifles for military or law enforcement agencies. • The rifles must have cold hammer forged barrels. • The rifles must include a serialized QR code on the lower receivers. • The rifles must be 11.5” barreled, chambered in 5.56. • The firearms must weigh no more than 7.1 pounds when unloaded and without the magazine. • The firearms must come with the manufacturer’s warranty. • The vendor must provide a detailed schedule of maintenance for the expected lifecycle of the rifles. • All ten (10) rifles must be the Sionics brand, model SAR – 15, no substitute.
