20mm F-16 Ammunition Handling Set - NSN:1005-01-190-9802

The Defense Logistics Agency Weapons Support (DLA AW) is seeking to award an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract for the manufacture of the 20mm Transfer Unit Mechanical Housing in support of the F-16 Aircraft program. The contract will consist of five 12-month ordering periods, and up to three contracts will be awarded to multiple sources, with up to two awards set-aside to small businesses. The transfer unit is a critical component of the F-16 aircraft, responsible for transferring live rounds from the feed chute to the feeder assembly and removing expended cases from the unload drive assembly. • The contract will be awarded based on the best value to the government, according to the tradeoff award procedures in FAR Part 15. • Pre-qualified, but unapproved, sources will be required to produce First Articles. • The proposed procurement will result in the award of up to three multiple award indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contracts to multiple sources. • The contract vehicle will be used to mitigate supply chain risks and provide a stable source of supply for the transfer unit. • The DLA/AWB Contracting Office intends to award a competitive contract to for the manufacture of the 20mm Transfer Unit Mechanical Housing.
