The Camp Grayling Qualified Recycling Program (QRP) is soliciting bids for the sale of deformed expended small arms casings. The casings are made of brass and are available in various calibers, including .50 caliber, 5.56 mm, blanks, and 7.62 mm. The material has been visually inspected and processed through Army Peculiar Equipment (APE) 1408 M1 munitions deformer, rendering it unusable for its intended purpose and unsuitable for reloading. The brass is prepared for shipping in gaylord cardboard boxes containing 2,300 lbs of brass. The winner of the bid will be required to bring 16 gaylord boxes and bottom slips that support up to 2500 pounds or will be charged a fee of $200.00 to cover the cost of replacements.
