The Pasadena Unified School District is soliciting bids for the Altadena Outdoor Learning & Campus Improvements Project at Altadena Elementary School. The work includes a new parking lot with a photovoltaic (PV) car‑port, extensive playground and hard‑scape upgrades, new retaining walls, an amphitheater seating area, grading, drainage, irrigation, lighting, and associated civil‑engineering infrastructure. The project is fully designed with detailed drawings and specifications, and a mandatory job‑walk/site visit is required prior to bidding. The contract value is estimated between $6.5 M and $8 M, with a construction schedule of roughly 153 calendar days from notice‑to‑proceed.
• New permeable‑asphalt parking lot and PV car‑port structure (≈ 90 × 180 ft).
• Playground relocation, new DG surfacing, rubber‑mulch play area, and an amphitheater with tiered seating.
