Demilitarization and Mutilation of NASA Aircraft Resulting in Aircraft Scrap Residue

The NASA Wallops Flight Facility is soliciting bids for the demilitarization and mutilation of NASA aircraft, resulting in aircraft scrap residue. The commodity consists of mixed metals scrap, and the contract type is a one-time sealed bid sale. The performance shall commence within five business days following government approval of the End Use Certificate and issuance of the Notice to Proceed. All required demilitarization, mutilation, certification, removal, and site restoration activities must be completed within sixty calendar days of issuance of the Notice to Proceed. • The bid submission must include Appendix A, Appendix B, Appendix D, SF 114, and required DEMIL training documentation. • Bid pricing shall be submitted as one total lump-sum bid price. • No bid deposit is required, and no performance bond is required for this one-time sale. • Failure to meet material solicitation requirements may result in the bid being deemed non-responsive. • Advance coordination is required for all site access, and visitor registration and approval are required prior to arrival.
