The National Park Service intends to award a single source justified cooperative agreement to the Montana Conservation Corps for the 2019 Conservation Interns project. The project aims to provide practical, hands-on experience in conservation to several young adults. The interns will work alongside NPS resource management staff to survey and map invasive plants, prepare and apply herbicides, and collect native seeds. The project will begin on April 15, 2019, and end on December 31, 2019. The NPS will provide financial assistance and logistical support, while the recipient will be responsible for recruiting and selecting interns, carrying out the statement of work, and providing workers' compensation and tort coverage. Key aspects of the project include:
• Surveying and mapping invasive plants
• Preparing and applying herbicides
• Collecting native seeds
