POLISHED CONCRETE FLOOR

The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) is seeking bids for a polished concrete floor project. The project involves converting approximately 1900 sq ft of existing VCT-tiled floor into a Salt & Pepper, Satin/Honed mechanically polished concrete surface. The finished floor must be dust-proof, slip-resistant, and chemically hardened. The project includes surface preparation, tile removal, edge work, wall base/moulding, remediation and repairs, polishing process, and chemical treatments. The contractor is required to provide a Base Bid strictly adhering to the specifications, but is also encouraged to submit "Proposed Alternates" for scenarios such as slab condition adjustments, aesthetic enhancements, and accelerated schedule. • The project requires a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail to achieve the desired aesthetic. • The contractor must ensure that the finished floor meets the required quality standards, including uniformity, slip resistance, and dust control. • The project includes multiple rooms and areas, including locker rooms, crew rooms, offices, and corridors. • The contractor must provide a detailed proposal, including a breakdown of costs and a description of the work to be performed.
