UNR - Replace Kitchen Flooring at Canada Hall

The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking bids for a construction project to replace the kitchen flooring at Canada Hall. The project involves demoing existing VCT in resident suite kitchens and common areas, replacing it with LVT, and demoing existing tile in bathrooms to be replaced with new tile. The contractor will also be responsible for patching and painting any wall damage that occurs during construction. The project is estimated to cost between $331,000 and $431,000 and is scheduled to begin on May 18, 2026, and be completed by August 7, 2027. • The project is a prevailing wage project. • The contractor will be required to provide various insurance coverage, including Commercial General Liability, Business Automobile Liability, Workers' Compensation, Contractors Pollution Liability, and Builder's Risk. • No construction will be permitted between August 8, 2026, and May 16, 2027. • Liquidated damages of $200 per day per resident bed will be applied if construction activities extend beyond the permitted construction dates and/or substantial completion date.
