Description
The United States Army Corps of Engineers - Alaska District (USACE-POA) is seeking a contractor to provide the procurement, delivery, and installation of Antenna Mounts and Cable Installation on existing US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Alaska District (POA) office buildings located at Fort Wainwright, Chena Lakes, Eielson AFB, and Fort Greely, Alaska. The primary objective is to install a mounting solution, attach a Starlink antenna to the solution, and route cable in a method that is survivable in the sub-arctic environmental conditions. The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, materials (excluding GFE) and expertise necessary to complete the installation. Key requirements include:
• Providing a complete wall-mounted support system suitable for High-Performance models
• Supporting the building façade material (e.g., CMU, concrete, steel structure behind siding, wood structural framing)
• Providing all brackets, mast, anchors, fasteners, corrosion protection, grounding, and weatherproofing necessary for a complete installation
• Complying with various standards and regulations, including IBC 2021, UFC 1-200-01, ASCE 7-22, NEC 2023, NFPA 780, and UFC 3-520-01
• Ensuring the mount is level within ±2° and maintaining minimum clearances from HVAC exhausts, roof eaves, and nearby building corners
• Verifying satellite acquisition and signal quality before final tightening
