Description
The Michigan Department of Transportation is seeking a Prequalified Maintenance Contractor to perform a single course 2-inch cold milling and resurfacing on I-94 from 13 Mile Road to Fenton Street in Macomb County. The project includes milling HMA surface, joint and crack repairs, 2-inch HMA resurface, permanent pavement markings, and other defined work.
Key aspects of the project include:
• Cold milling HMA surface to a depth of one and half inches
• Repairing joints, cracks, and potholes in accordance with MDOT Detail 7 Joint Repair
• Placing 1.5-inch HMA Mix, 5EMH PG 64-28 after longitudinal and transverse joints are repaired
• Maintaining traffic throughout the project in accordance with MDOT standards
• Compliance with prevailing wage requirements and Michigan law
• A contract begin date of Friday, May 1, 2026
The successful bidder will be required to provide all labor, materials/supplies, equipment, tools, supervision, and any incidental services or items required to perform the contract activities.
