Description
The City of Charleston seeks qualified firms to develop architectural and engineering designs, specifications, and contract‑administration services for downtown sidewalk and brick streetscape improvements funded by a federal Surface Transportation Block Grant. The selected firm will be responsible for condition assessments, design production, bid assistance, and construction oversight.
• Design and engineering of approximately 47,000 sq ft of concrete sidewalks and 20,750 sq ft of brick streetscapes.
• Deliver design documents, technical specifications, and support the competitive bidding process.
• Provide construction‑phase contract administration, including site observations, shop‑drawing reviews, and change‑order evaluations.
• Submit a professional‑service proposal (EOI) by July 2, 2026, with required qualifications, references, and an Addendum Acknowledgement form.
• Potentially short‑list up to four firms for an interview before final selection.
