The USGS Research Drilling Program requires services from a contractor to replace the Power Take-Off (PTO) for an actively used TH60 drill rig. The contractor will have the PTO installed at their facility, and the Government will deliver and pick back up the rig. The PTO is used to transfer the truck engine's power via a transfer case to run drilling components, eliminating the need for a separate deck engine. The condition of the current PTO is beyond repair, and market research has shown that parts to repair/refurbish the current PTO for this specific rig are no longer made. The original manufacturer, however, currently has an unused PTO in their inventory that will be suitable as a replacement part.
• The replacement PTO must be a brand new item, and the contractor must provide a detailed description of how they will do the PTO installation to ensure fulfilling the requirements.
• The contractor must specify the country of manufacture of the PTO.
• Quotes will be evaluated based on the lowest priced technically acceptable offer.
• The period of performance is from 03/16/2026 to 04/30/2026.
