Description
The City of Kingsland is seeking proposals for the construction of 5’ wide sidewalks. The project includes replacing existing sidewalks, constructing new sidewalks, and finish grading and seeding. The contractor must agree to maintain Workers’ Compensation and liability insurance for a minimum of one million dollars. The contract will be awarded to the most responsible, responsive bidder whose submission, conforming to the solicitation, will be most advantageous to the City of Kingsland. Key considerations include:
• Construction of 5’ wide sidewalks with 4” thick concrete and fiber reinforcement
• Compact base before concrete placement
• Walkway construction with a 2% side slope
• Control joints at 5’ intervals
• Concrete finish with a lite broom perpendicular to travel
• ADA mats at all intersections
• Finish grade, seed, and hay all slopes and bare dirt areas
