Sole Source to Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company to Acquire 35 EA. Ejector Release Mechanisms-- See All Attachments.

The Naval Sea Systems Command, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) is seeking to acquire 35 Ejector Release Mechanisms (ERMs) for the Multi Mission Buoy (MMB). The ERMs are designed to be used in the MMB's Anchor Separation Mechanism. The acquisition is being conducted on a sole source basis with Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company, as they are the sole developer and original equipment manufacturer of the ERMs. The Government has determined that Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company is the only source capable of meeting the requirement. Key points to consider: • The acquisition is for 35 EA of Ejector Release Mechanisms, specifically the E4000-3361-1-PBOF ERM Linear Actuator, Part Number N83361-1. • The ERMs are commercial items developed to support the aerospace and defense industry. • The Government did not purchase or acquire the rights in data and design or a technical data package (TDP) for these items. • The acquisition is being conducted using simplified acquisition procedures.
