The City of Salina is seeking a qualified general contractor to design, demolish, and construct a new scale‑house building and associated entrance improvements at the municipal solid‑waste landfill site. The scope includes demolition of existing structures, new building construction with full MEP systems, installation of two truck scales with foundations and catwalks, extensive earthwork, concrete paving, site‑wide utilities, storm‑water controls, fencing, and landscaping. The contract will be awarded through a sealed‑bid process, with work to be substantially completed by 31 Dec 2026 and fully completed by 3 May 2027. • Demolition of existing scale house and truck scale, and removal of related utilities. • New 1‑story scale‑house building (architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing). • Construction of two new truck scales, foundations, approach slabs, catwalks, and remote‑display pole/conduit systems. • Civil works: grading, 4‑in. & 8‑in. concrete pavements (~100 k sf each), curbs, parking stalls, signage, bollards, gate, fence, and storm‑water erosion‑control measures. • Coordination of utilities (water, sewer, electrical, communications) and compliance with SWPPP, NPDES, and OSHA safety standards.
