Description

The City of Santa Cruz is seeking a consultant to provide pavement treatment selection services for the Metro Rapid Corridors Project. The project aims to make permanent the transit lane treatments along Front Street and River from Soquel Avenue to Water Street. The consultant will need to complete field visits, pavement coring, and bulk sampling to determine recommended pavement treatments. The selected consultant will prepare a design report that will be submitted to the METRO Rapid Corridors Designer for incorporation into their design plans. • The project is grant-funded, but the pavement treatment is being paid for with City funds. • A cost-effective treatment is needed. • The consultant will need to coordinate with the Rapid Corridors Project and City of Santa Cruz on pavement limits, treatments, incorporation into design plans, and anticipated budget. • The consultant will need to provide a draft and final report for review by the City and Metro Project Team. • The project is anticipated to begin by Fall 2026 with the Final Report completed prior to the end of January 2027.
