Route 23/Olsen Road Bike Improvements

The City of Thousand Oaks is seeking professional engineering and design services for the Route 23/Olsen Road Bike Improvements Project. The project aims to improve bicyclist safety within approximately 1,500 linear feet of Olsen Road at the SR-23 undercrossing. The scope of work includes preliminary engineering, environmental documents, right of way, utilities, Plans, Specifications, and Estimate (PS&E), and design services during construction. The selected consultant will be required to provide professional engineering, right of way, utility, and design services related to the preliminary engineering, Plans, Specifications, and Estimate (PS&E), design services during construction, and any other necessary Caltrans documents for the project. • Provide professional engineering and design services • Preliminary engineering, environmental documents, right of way, utilities, Plans, Specifications, and Estimate (PS&E) • Design services during construction • Compliance with current Caltrans Standard Plans and Specifications • Modification of the traffic signal at the SR-23 Northbound Off-Ramp to include bike signal phasing for eastbound Olsen Road • Installation of new eastbound Class II bike lane striping and increasing the visibility of bike conflict areas in both directions
