C4/D5 MOTOR DISPOSAL

The US Navy is seeking a contractor for the disposal of TRIDENT II (D5) first stage, second stage, and third stage rocket motors. The contractor will also be responsible for upgrading selected Government-owned equipment that supports the disposal process, including documentation of disposal plans and environmental assessments, temporary storage of motors, nozzles, and igniters, and support of Hill AFB personnel in the actual motor disposal and testing operations. The contractor will also perform aging studies, develop tooling and procedures to remove propellant samples, and provide other related services. • The contractor will handle and dispose of TRIDENT II rocket motors. • The contractor will upgrade Government-owned equipment to support the disposal process. • The contractor will perform aging studies and develop tooling and procedures to remove propellant samples. • The contractor will provide support to Hill AFB personnel in the actual motor disposal and testing operations.
