Coffman Memorial Union Renovations

The University of Minnesota is seeking a Construction Manager for the renovation of Coffman Memorial Union. The project includes interior renovations and exterior envelope maintenance, with a focus on updating student gathering and study spaces, dining and food service, and the Campus Club. The selected respondent will provide construction manager services, including cost estimating and value engineering, and will work with the University and Architect/Engineer of Record to bring the project to fruition. The project is expected to start in July 2026 and be substantially complete by August 18, 2028. • The project has a construction budget of $26,000,000. • The project will be completed in multiple phases to allow for ongoing use of the building. • The University is seeking a respondent with experience in similar projects and a strong team with relevant skills and expertise. • The evaluation criteria include respondent team qualifications, project schedule and work plan, project cost, and safety. • The University reserves the right to shortlist respondents for further evaluation and interviews.
