Repair APU & Components

The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is seeking to award a contract for the repair of Auxiliary Power Units (APUs) and components used on the HC-27J aircraft. The contract is anticipated to be a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract with a one-year base period and four one-year option periods. The total duration of the contract shall not exceed five years. The USCG intends to award the contract to Pratt & Whitney, the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the APU's and components, on a sole-source basis. • The contract requires the repair of APU's and components used on the HC-27J aircraft. • The USCG operates a fleet of ten HC-27J Fixed wing aircraft, which are used for missions such as search and rescue, law enforcement, and marine environmental protection. • The contract is critical to maintaining the operational capability of the HC-27J aircraft. • The USCG does not have adequate technical data to provide to potential offerors to promote competition. • The contract will be awarded based on the offeror's ability to meet the USCG's needs, and the prices will be determined fair and reasonable based on comparison with prior acquisition history and current published price lists.
