Description
The City of Arcata is seeking bids for its 2026 Annual Pavement Maintenance Project. The project includes miscellaneous pavement improvement, such as sidewalk construction, drainage improvements, asphalt grind out and inlays, asphalt overlays, signage and striping improvements. A mandatory bidders' conference will be held on July 23, 2026, at 11:00 AM. The project requires a valid California contractor's license for the following classification(s): Class A. The bid proposal must be accompanied by a bid security of ten percent of the maximum bid amount.
* The project is located at various locations throughout the City of Arcata.
* The engineer's estimate for the project is $2,200,000.
* The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the contract price.
* The project is subject to prevailing wage requirements applicable to the locality in which the work is to be performed.
* The contract will be subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the DIR, under Labor Code § 1771.4.
