C1DA--652-25-111 Repair USP 800 AC-59

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking Architect-Engineering (A/E) firms to provide design and construction period services for project 652-25-111 Repair USP 800 AC-59 at the Central Virginia VA Health Care System in Richmond, VA. The selected A/E firm will be responsible for evaluating the existing Air Handler Unit (AHU) 59, confirming its current functional support of the existing Pharmacy spaces it serves, and generating a design plan to bring AHU 59 functions to be compliant with current requirements. The A/E firm will also provide an initial estimate of cost to perform the work and will design only those items that can be provided within the cost limitation. Key responsibilities and requirements of the project include: • Site investigation • Creating documents, drawings, and specifications • Final inspection of construction • Compliance with VA Master Specifications and VA Design Standards, as well as ASME, OSHA, IBC 2009, NFPA, and NEC building codes and standards • Coordination with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) • Use of Microsoft Project scheduling and management software • Submission of SF-330, Parts I and II, via email to the Contract Specialist and Contracting Officer
