School Kitchen Renovations

The Lansing School District is seeking bids for kitchen remodel projects at four schools: Gardner Elementary, Ebersole Center, Attwood Elementary, and Dwight Rich PK-8. The project includes selective demolition, rough carpentry, finish carpentry, architectural woodwork, millwork, and miscellaneous items. The contractor will be responsible for providing all materials, labor, services, and applicable taxes required for the project. The bid package includes six divisions: General Trades, Drywall and Acoustical, Flooring, Painting, Plumbing and HVAC, and Electrical. • The project involves kitchen renovations, including demolition, carpentry, and installation of new equipment and fixtures. • The contractor must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and codes, including those related to asbestos, lead, and environmental hazards. • The project requires coordination with other contractors, including the food service equipment contractor, to ensure a smooth and timely completion. • The contractor must provide a bid security in the form of a bid bond or certified check, and must also provide payment and performance bonds. • The contract includes a 10% fee for additional work performed upon authorization of the Owner, and a 7½% fee for subcontractor quotes.
