The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Science Mission Directorate (SMD) has released its annual omnibus Research Announcement (NRA), Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences (ROSES) – 2024. This program element, A.26 Rapid Response and Novel Research in Earth Science, is part of the ROSES-2024 NRA. The program supports basic and applied research and technology in Earth science. Proposals may be submitted at any time, pending certain eligibility timing issues. Awards will be made as grants, cooperative agreements, contracts, and inter- or intra-agency transfers. The typical period of performance for an award is three years, but some programs may allow up to five years.
• Proposals may be submitted by organizations of every type, Government and private, for profit and not-for-profit, domestic and foreign.
• The program excludes contracts for some elements because they would not be appropriate for the nature of the work solicited.
• Tables listing the program elements and due dates, as well as the full text of the ROSES-2024 "Summary of Solicitation", can be found on the NSPIRES website.
• Proposers must retrieve the instructions document associated with the application package for this opportunity, as there is at least one required form that must be attached to the submitted proposal package.
