STEM,FLUID VALVE

The US Navy is seeking bids for the procurement of a stem for a size 4 inch Ball Valve, in accordance with Newport News Shipbuilding Drawing 255587, Piece 11, figure 10. The material must be QQ-N-286, Form 2, Annealed (Hot Finished or Cold Drawn) and Age Hardened. The contractor must provide a certificate of compliance certifying that the items/components furnished under this contract comply with the requirements of the procurement document. The contractor must also maintain a quality system in accordance with ISO-9001, with the calibration system requirements of ISO-10012 or ANSI-Z540.3 with ISO-17025. Key requirements include: * Material must be in accordance with Newport News Shipbuilding Drawing 255587, Piece 11, figure 10 * No weld repair allowed on QQ-N-286 material * Dimension AG does not apply to manufacture of the subject stem * Quantitative chemical and mechanical analysis of material is required * Certifications are required for the following tests: Annealing and Age Hardening, Ultrasonic Inspection on Starting Material * The contractor must maintain a quality system in accordance with ISO-9001 * The contractor must provide a certificate of compliance certifying that the items/components furnished under this contract comply with the requirements of the procurement document
