The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive fencing services—including installation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of various fence types and associated gate work—across Arlington, Fairfax, Fauquier, Loudoun, and Prince William Counties. Work will be performed on an on‑call, as‑needed basis, covering a wide range of fence materials (barbed wire, woven wire, chain‑link, wood, metal braces, etc.) and related activities such as brace installation, post replacement, gate installation, and removal of existing structures. This solicitation covers both new construction and corrective work, requiring familiarity with VDOT specifications and the ability to respond quickly to urgent repair requests. • Scope includes installing, realigning, and maintaining a variety of fence systems (FE‑B, FE‑W1, FE‑W2, chain‑link, high‑tensile, etc.) and gates (tubular, cantilever, water gates). • Services must be performed throughout five Northern Virginia counties on an as‑needed, on‑call schedule, with rapid response times for urgent highway mobilization. • Contractor must comply with detailed VDOT specs for materials, dimensions, and installation procedures, and be capable of handling both routine maintenance and emergency repairs.
