Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, East Orange Health Care System, is seeking information from potential contractors for the renovation of the existing C Level utility space located at C Level of Building 1, at the VA New Jersey Health Care System East Orange Campus. The project aims to provide environmentally safe, comfortable, and compliant conditions for maintenance staff. The work will include demolition and removal of existing structures, improvement of the condensate pit area, modification/replacement of C-Level supply and exhaust air systems, replacement of C-Level steam header and distribution, and other upgrades. The contractor shall provide a complete construction service, including all labor, material, equipment, supervision, inspections, submittals, and as-built drawings.
• The project requires compliance with Veterans Health Administration (VHA) specifications and VA regulations, policies, procedures, and conditions for work at the medical center.
• The contractor must be able to obtain all necessary safety licenses and abide by state safety regulations for asbestos abatement and other hazardous materials.
