The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking information to inform the development of an Assistance Mechanism to build local capacity to represent and address the needs of marginalized, under-represented populations and/or people in vulnerable situations (MUGPVs). The mechanism will support USAID's inclusive development objectives, including promoting the rights and inclusion of MUGPVs in the development process. The Assistance Mechanism will have three components: sub-grants and small grants, capacity building, and rapid-response programming.
• The sub-grants and small grants component will support local organizations that are uniquely placed to further inclusive development goals.
• The capacity building component will provide financial and technical support to MUGPVs consortium partners and local organizations to enable their independent and objective participation in engaging with Missions and OUs.
• The rapid-response component will provide timely support to MUGPVs during times of threat, crisis, and/or acute violence.
