Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), Indian and Native American Programs - Employment and Training Grants

The Employment and Training Administration (ETA) announces the availability of approximately $71,000,000 in grant funds for the Indian and Native American Program (INAP) Employment and Training Grants. The purpose of this program is to support employment and training activities for Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian individuals. The program aims to develop the academic, occupational, and literacy skills of these individuals, make them more competitive in the workforce, and promote the economic and social development of their communities. The grant will be awarded to eligible entities, including Federally recognized Indian tribes, tribal organizations, Alaska Native-controlled organizations, and Native Hawaiian-controlled organizations. The grant will fund comprehensive services, including employment and training activities, and supplemental youth services. The grant period will be 36 months, with the possibility of annual funding for three subsequent program years. • Eligible applicants include Federally recognized Indian tribes, tribal organizations, Alaska Native-controlled organizations, and Native Hawaiian-controlled organizations. • The grant will fund comprehensive services, including employment and training activities, and supplemental youth services. • The grant period will be 36 months, with the possibility of annual funding for three subsequent program years. • The grant will be awarded based on a competitive process, with priority given to Federally recognized Indian tribes, Alaska Native entities, and consortia of these entities. • The grant will require quarterly financial and performance reports, and grantees will be required to participate in an evaluation, if undertaken by DOL.
