Description
The U.S. Army Contracting Command – Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA) is seeking information from qualified sources, both large and small businesses, for the production of the Joint General Mechanics Tool Kit (JGMTK), NSN: 5180-01-605-5146. The JGMTK is a self-contained, general-purpose automotive toolkit for military maintenance personnel, designed to provide the necessary specialized hand tools to perform field-level maintenance and repairs across various vehicle platforms, including tracked combat vehicles, wheeled tactical and logistical vehicles, Ground Support Equipment (GSE), and Prime Power Production/Generation units.
Key points to consider:
• The JGMTK has a Technical Data Package (TDP) with distribution statement “D”, limiting access to Department of War (DoW) and U.S. DoW contractors.
• Vendors must have a current DD 2345, Militarily Critical Technical Data Agreement, on file with the Defense Logistics Information Service to access the TDP.
• The JGMTK TDP contains Source Controlled Parts, and vendors must provide proof of ability to obtain these parts from approved sources or become an approved source.
• First Article Testing (FAT) and Production Verification Testing (PVT) are required.
• The estimated production rate is 1,791 units per month, with a total of 46,392 units over 5 years.
