The City of Salina is soliciting bids to demolish an existing scale house, construct a new scale‑house building, install two new truck scales, and upgrade the entrance road, parking, lighting, fencing, and site utilities at its municipal solid‑waste landfill. The scope includes civil earthwork, utility installation, structural steel, M‑E‑P systems, concrete pavement, curb, signage, and ancillary site improvements. The contractor must manage demolition, coordinate utilities, adhere to strict environmental and safety plans, and complete substantial work by 31 December 2026. • Demolition of existing scale house and truck scale, followed by new building construction (architectural, structural, M‑E‑P). • Installation of two truck scales with foundations, approach slabs, and catwalks, plus utility services (water, sewer, electrical, communications, generator). • Full site grading, pavement, curbs, parking lots, signage, lighting, fencing, and entrance‑road improvements, including dowel‑bar reinforced joints. • Coordination of all utility outages, compliance with Kansas W&M regulations, and implementation of erosion‑control and storm‑water management measures.
