RFP #WW 26-11 Fairlee WTP Actuator Valves and Piping Replacement

The Kent County Government is seeking bids for the replacement of actuator valves and piping at the Fairlee Water Treatment Plant. The project involves replacing twelve existing pneumatically actuated butterfly valves with electrically actuated butterfly valves, replacing eight existing manually operated butterfly valves, and replacing one backwash flow meter. Additionally, ductile iron piping and fittings identified as being in poor condition will be replaced. The scope also includes all necessary demolition work related to the removal and disposal of existing valves, piping, and assorted supports. • The plant is located at 1 Water Tower Road, Chestertown, MD 21620. • A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for April 16, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Fairlee Water Treatment Plant. • Bidders must submit their proposals by May 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. • The contract is expected to be awarded on May 19, 2026. • The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
