Description

The U.S. Navy NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support is soliciting qualified, previously‑approved sources to provide repair and modification services for 32 units of NSN 7R‑2925‑014183193‑V2 starter engines. The work is flight‑critical; therefore, only sources that have already received Government source‑approval may submit proposals. Applicants must submit the required Source Approval Information Brochure data with their offer. The parts are to be delivered FOB origin. The solicitation references compliance with DFARS trade‑agreement clauses. No open competition is permitted, and the award will be made to an approved source without a new source‑approval process unless time constraints force a continuation based on fleet support needs. • Quantity: 32 starter engines (electrical) • Delivery: FOB origin (government will arrange transport) • Must be an already‑approved NAVSUP WSS source; new source approval is difficult and may preclude award • Required submission of Source Approval Brochure data and cover letter confirming approval status • Contract is for repair/modification of flight‑critical components, subject to DFARS trade‑agreement clauses • No explicit price ceiling; pricing will be evaluated based on cost realism and past performance.

Budget estimate

$480,000 – $1,200,000

The solicitation does not disclose a contract value. Based on typical Navy repair contracts for a small batch (≈30 units) of flight‑critical engine components, the total award could range from a few hundred thousand dollars to low‑single‑digit millions. Assuming an average repair/modification cost of $15,000‑$30,000 per starter (including labor, testing, and logistics), the total contract value would likely be between $480,000 and $960,000. Additional engineering data‑rights fees or compliance costs could push the high end toward $1.2 million.
