Navigation Center Restrooms

The City of Huntington Beach seeks a qualified contractor to replace or refurbish the portable restroom and shower trailers at its Navigation Center, a 164‑bed homeless shelter, with modern, modular, ADA‑compliant facilities. The work includes site assessment, removal or retrofit of existing units, design and installation of up to 12 toilets and 12 showers (including gender‑neutral and ADA units), utility connections, and delivery of maintenance documentation and staff training. The contract must be executed within six months of award, with no permanent structures permitted. • Supply and install modular restroom/trailer units meeting health, safety, and ADA standards. • Provide at least one ADA‑compliant and one gender‑neutral toilet and shower. • Offer a cost‑comparison matrix for full replacement versus repair/retrofit options. • Coordinate installation to minimize disruption to shelter operations and adhere to environmental‑safety requirements (HAZWOPER for soil work). • Deliver a maintenance manual and conduct initial staff training.
