Indian Highway Safety Occupant Protection Grant

The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), Office of Justice Services (OJS), Indian Highway Safety Program (IHSP) solicits proposals for implementing traffic safety programs and projects to reduce the number of traffic crashes, deaths, injuries, and property damage within Indian communities. The Indian Highway Safety Grants are reimbursable grants available to federally recognized tribes. • The grant program focuses on child passenger safety seat programs. • The program requires a certified CPS technician on staff. • The grant can cover CPS training, conference registration, and travel expenses. • The grant application must include a Tribal Resolution, an approved Indirect Cost Rate letter, and other supporting documents.
