Traffic Signal Equipment Procurement

The City of South San Francisco is soliciting quotes for the purchase of traffic signal equipment, including cabinets, video detection system components, and accessible pedestrian signal (APS) push button equipment. The equipment must be compatible with existing City infrastructure, and no substitutions will be accepted. The City intends to obtain competitive pricing and may evaluate quotes on a line-item basis. The contractor will be responsible for contacting the Public Works Electrical Division for pre-construction meetings and inspections. • The equipment includes McCain 350i cabinets, POLARA iDS push button equipment, and Iteris video detection system components. • The contractor must be a California licensed Class "A" contractor, unless otherwise approved. • The equipment must meet Caltrans standards and be installed according to the City's specifications. • The City reserves the right to reject any or all quotes, waive informalities or minor irregularities, and increase or decrease quantities as needed.
