Description
The Santa Monica‑Malibu Unified School District is seeking a qualified contractor to construct an outdoor learning environment at the Lincoln Child Development Center. The scope includes demolition of existing playground elements, site grading, utility work, concrete and masonry construction, installation of a new ADA‑compliant ramp and stairs, creation of new accessible parking, erection of a hip‑style shade canopy, installation of new playground equipment, fencing, landscaping, and irrigation systems. The contract is a fixed‑price lump‑sum with a $50,000 allowance for DSA changes, and the work must be completed within 62 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed.
• Demolition of existing hardscape, fences, and playground equipment.
• Site civil works: grading, drainage, concrete pads, curbs, parking bumpers, and synthetic turf.
• Structural and architectural elements: steel framing, concrete ramps/stairs, shade structure, ADA‑compliant parking, and new playground equipment.
• Required compliance: DSA approvals, ADA, CBC, Title 24, VOC restrictions, SWPPP, and extensive safety and inspection protocols.
