Addendum 1 - Scale House and Entrance Improvements v1

The City of Salina is seeking a qualified contractor to demolish the existing scale house and truck scale, then design and construct a new scale house building, install two truck scales, perform extensive earthwork, paving, utility installation, fencing, lighting, and site‑wide erosion and sediment control. The work must be completed to substantial completion by 31 Dec 2026 with final completion by 3 May 2027. The contract will be awarded on a firm unit‑price basis to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. • Demolition of existing scale house, scales, and associated infrastructure. • Construction of a new scale house building (architectural, structural, MEP) and two new truck scales with foundations, catwalks, and approach slabs. • Full site development: grading, 8‑in and 4‑in concrete pavements, curbs, sidewalks, drainage (12″ HDPE pipe), water/sewer lines, fencing, lighting, signage, and remote‑operated gate. • Comprehensive erosion‑control, SWPPP compliance, and coordination with ongoing landfill operations.
