Notice of Intent to Sole Source - Hexatronic Rochester Cable Inc. for two (2) new spools of Rochester Cable, Part Number A316375, for the NOAA Ship Bell M. Shimada.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is seeking to procure two new spools of Rochester Cable, Part Number A316375, for the NOAA Ship Bell M. Shimada. The cable is required for the Hydrographic Winches on the ship. The procurement is being conducted on a sole source basis, with Hexatronic Rochester Cable Inc. being the intended contractor. The scope of work includes procuring and shipping two new spools of wire rope, with each spool meeting specific technical specifications. The wire rope shall be delivered to the NOAA facility in Newport, OR. • The wire rope must be 4,500 meters of double-armored single-conductor CTD cable • The diameter of the wire rope must be 9.53mm / 0.375-inches • The breaking strength of the wire rope must be 14,600 lbf • The voltage rating of the wire rope must be 2,000 volts • The wire rope must be delivered with a wire rope certification sheet • The contractor must procure two spools of new Rochester Cable Part Number A316375 (or similar)
