1ST St./US-73 & Oregon St. Traffic Signal Project - Hiawatha, KS

The City of Hiawatha is seeking contractors to replace its existing traffic signals and poles at the 1st Street and Oregon Street intersection and construct a new, fully‑modern traffic signal system with accompanying crosswalks. The scope includes removal of old equipment, installation of new signal heads, controllers, poles, wiring, and pedestrian crossing signage, as well as all necessary civil and electrical work to bring the system into operation. • Remove existing traffic signals, poles, and associated wiring. • Install new signal heads, controller cabinets, poles, and pedestrian crosswalk signage. • Perform all required electrical and civil work (trenching, conduit, power connections) to integrate the new system. • Provide complete documentation, testing, and commissioning to meet city standards. • Ensure compliance with local, state, and FHWA specifications for traffic control devices.
