The City of Salina is seeking a qualified contractor to demolish the existing scale house and truck scale, construct a new scale‑house building, install two new truck scales, and complete associated site‑improvement work at the municipal solid‑waste landfill. The scope includes full demolition, structural building work, concrete paving, utility installation, storm‑water management, fencing, signage, and related civil works, all on a firm‑unit‑price basis. • Demolition of existing scale house and scale, followed by construction of a new steel‑frame scale‑house building with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing. • Installation of two truck scales (inbound & outbound) with foundations, approach slabs, catwalks, and remote driver‑visible displays. • Extensive site work: earthwork (≈ 5,340 CY), grading, new 4‑in and 8‑in concrete pavements (≈ 200,000 SF total), curbs, drainage, erosion‑control, fencing, gates, bollards, signage, and lighting. • Coordination of utilities (water, sewer, power, conduit for future fiber), provision of a diesel generator, and compliance with storm‑water pollution prevention plan.
