Shales Parkway - Various East Side Streets Resurfacing Project

The City of Elgin is seeking bids for the Shales Parkway - Various East Side Streets Resurfacing Project. The project includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and other necessary items for the completion of approximately 18,750 linear feet of resurfacing work, including hot-mix asphalt patching, milling, binder course, and surface course, as well as concrete curb and gutter removal and replacement, sidewalk removal and replacement, and other miscellaneous items of work. The successful bidder will be required to provide a performance and payment bond equal to 100% of the total contract price and pay prevailing wage. • The project requires the bidder to submit a list of qualified references for projects similar in size and scope. • The bidder must satisfy the City as to their ability, financially or otherwise, to carry out the work. • The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. • The project is subject to the Elgin Responsible Bidders Ordinance and Elgin Residency Requirements. • The bidder must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards, including labor standards and prevailing wage requirements.
