SR 303 Adaptive Signals (Sheridan to Riddell) – Vendor Contract

The City of Bremerton is seeking a qualified vendor to provide an Adaptive Signal Control (ASC) system for the SR 303 corridor. The system should be compatible with the City's existing Econolite Cobalt traffic signal controllers and provide real-time traffic signal control. The vendor will be responsible for providing all associated hardware and software, system configuration, integration, and deployment, system testing and acceptance, training, and technical support. The project includes the installation of fiber communications and supplemental vehicle detection, which will be contracted via a separate bid advertisement in Summer 2026. • The ASC system will be implemented at five signalized intersections along SR 303. • The system will provide real-time traffic signal control and improve corridor progression, travel time reliability, and corridor safety. • The vendor will provide training and technical support for the system. • The project has an allocated budget of $250,000 to $300,000.
