Remanufacture of KC-135 Valve Assembly

The Department of the Air Force is seeking a contractor to remanufacture KC-135 valve assemblies. The contract will be a firm-fixed-price, 5-year contract with a 3-year basic period and a 2-year option period. The contractor will be responsible for remanufacturing the valve assemblies to restore them to a like-new condition. The contractor must also furnish all necessary materials, labor, and expertise to complete the work. The government will only pay for missing components after review and approval of the Over and Above request. Some key points to consider: • The contractor must meet all solicitation requirements, including terms and conditions, representations, and certifications. • The government reserves the right to award without discussions but may conduct discussions if necessary. • The evaluation will be based on price only, and the award will be made to the offeror with the lowest total evaluated price. • The contractor must be an approved source in accordance with FAR 52.209-1, Qualification Requirements. • The government reserves the right to determine any exceptions to the solicitation terms and conditions unacceptable and the proposal ineligible for award.
