Description
The State of North Carolina, Department of Transportation, is seeking bids for the provision of Steel H-Pile to restock inventories for all of Division 3 Bridge Maintenance yards. The H-Pile will be used for the construction of Bridge helper bents and to prevent bridge closures. The contract will be awarded to the responsive bid offering the lowest price that meets the specifications. The State reserves the right to make separate awards to different vendors for one or more line items, or to not award one or more line items, or to cancel this IFB in its entirety without awarding a contract.
Some key requirements for this bid include:
• All Steel H-Piles shall be ASTM A-572, Grade 50 or ASTM A588
• All piles shall be shop cleaned and shop painted according to Paint System #3
• The vendor shall deliver Free-On-Board (FOB) Destination to any requested location within the State of North Carolina with all transportation costs and fees included in the total bid price
• The vendor shall complete delivery within 60 consecutive calendar days after receipt of purchase order
