2026 Traffic Signal Modification - Memorial and Vallombrosa

The City of Chico is seeking bids for the 2026 Traffic Signal Modification - Memorial and Vallombrosa project. The project involves the installation of an additional pedestrian and bicycle crossing at the intersection of Vallombrosa Ave and Memorial Way, and Memorial Way and Camelia Way intersections. The work includes widened pedestrian refuges, upgrading pedestrian ramps to ADA requirements, signal modifications, and upgraded Audible Pedestrian signals. The project has an engineer's estimate of $500,000 and a contract time of 30 working days. • The project requires the payment of prevailing wage rates to be paid to members of each craft or classification performing work on this project. • The contractor must possess either a Class A Contractor License or a combination of classes required by the categories and types of work included in this contract. • The project is subject to state contract nondiscrimination and compliance requirements pursuant to Government Code, Section 12990. • The contractor must register with the Department of Industrial Relations prior to bidding on the project. • The project requires the contractor to submit a bid bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid amount.
